Questionnaires

The City Birth Trauma Scale can be used in healthcare or research to examine traumatic birth, post-traumatic stress symptoms and clinical disorder in women, birth partners or maternity staff. The scale has 29 questions and measures PTSD according to the diagnostic criteria of the DSM-5 published by the American Psychiatric Association in 2013 and the DSM-5 revision in 2022. It has been translated into over 30 languages. A short version and training resources will be available from January 2025.
